Pro-Palestinian terrorist who killed Israeli embassy staffers reportedly called for ‘white genocide’

Elias Rodriguez, the alleged pro-Palestinian terrorist who gunned down two Israeli embassy staffers last week in Washington, DC, reportedly harbors radical Leftist views that include support of Communism and a hatred of White people.

Journalist Ken Klippenstein wrote on Tuesday that he obtained copies of texts Rodriguez sent to a group chat with his childhood friends. Screenshots shared by Klippenstein show a rainbow LGBTQ symbol next to Rodriguez’s name.

As a self-described Maoist, Rodriguez expressed his hatred for Israel, even cheering on the October 7th massacre as it happened.

“Just saw an incredibly gory video of the aftermath of Israeli troops trying to get dressed for the ambush absolutely massacred by hamas fighters lmao,” he wrote in one message to the group that day. “Love checking back in with the news every few hours like, ‘Hm I wonder if Israel still exists?’” another text read. When asked if he was enjoying the massacre, he replied: “You don’t often get to credibly wonder if Israel is over yet today or not.”

Rodriguez was also open about his hatred for White people.

“Lol you probably would have to actually genocide white people to make this a normal country,” he wrote in one post. “Like even a very targeted and selective rehabilitation program would probably have to lead to the lifetime imprisonments of tens of millions of white people.”

A contact told Klippenstein that Rodriguez supported Hamas long before October 7th, in addition to Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“He was a big proponent of ‘the emerging resistance axis’ of Russia, Iran, Hezbollah, Assad’s Syria,” the friend recalled. “He seemed pretty vocally in favor of Hamas for years — way before 2023. He’d always hated Israel and would call it ‘The Little Satan.’”

Rodriguez’s messages appear to confirm that, for some Leftists, pro-Palestinian sentiment is a bedfellow of hatred for the United States and the West.

Palestine ‘is a nail to dismantle the United States of America’

At a webinar in April, several activists openly shared that the pro-Palestine movement intends to “destroy” and “undermine” the United States.

Speaking to the webinar’s participants, Rishi Arun, president of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Temple University in Philadelphia said: “It is our job to destroy imperialism, to destroy the United States... by organizing in a way that actively undermines and destabilizes the legitimacy and power of the state.” A webinar participant identified as “Maya (any pronouns)” reacted to Arun’s remarks about destroying the United States by smiling and performing a small dance.

Mohammed Khatib, the Europe coordinator of the Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, similarly declared: "If Palestine is liberated, this is a nail to dismantle the United States of America."

The trans student activist who went by Bina voiced open support for Hamas, which has come to use a red triangle as a symbol of its October 7th attack, and the murder of police.

"We know it is a victory when a red triangle goes above an Israeli soldier's head, and a pig gets iced,” Bina said. “We know that is a victory. We know it is a victory when prisoners break out, we know it is a victory when all these things happen. But a lot of people don't necessarily know that. And it's not their fault they don't know that. It's our fault."
